Something Big is Coming to Hytale

If you’ve been keeping an eye on our communities, you might have noticed… something is brewing.

We’re not ready to spill the details just yet, but March 3rd is a date you’ll want to remember. We’ve been working behind the scenes on something exciting for Hytale modders, and it’s almost time.

Curious?
Keep an eye on the countdown

Stay tuned. Trust us on this one.

Valentine’s on CurseForge

This month we celebrated Valentine’s Day the only way we know how - with mods and community.

Here’s what went down:

Whether you joined in the fun or just grabbed a themed mod for your world, it was great seeing the community come together.

Minecraft Modding for Beginners

Thinking about making your first mod?

We just dropped a brand new video on CurseForge Academy showing how to create custom tools in Minecraft 1.21.11 (NeoForge). It’s designed for beginners who want to move from playing mods to building them. Watch here!

For authors looking to level up, we’ve also uploaded our first Author Workshop session featuring Plantkillable & MehVahdJukaarto to the same channel: Designing & Implementing Content

If modding has ever crossed your mind, this is your sign.

New Features for Authors

We’ve shipped several updates this month focused on improving the author experience, from payouts to profile customization.

New: Payout Options - Bank Transfers
We’ve added direct bank transfers via Tremendous as a payout option!

Available in:

  • Europe (EUR)
  • UK (GBP)
  • Australia (AUD)
  • Canada (CAD)

Authors in the above locations now join authors in the US and can receive payouts directly to local bank accounts. As always, CurseForge covers all transfer fees!

New: Profile Bio & Social Links
You can now add a bio to your CurseForge profile and tell the community who you are, what you build, or what you’re working on next!

You can also set your socials and links to appear at the top of your profile as well, in addition to the already existing settings for individual projects.

To get started go to: My Profile → Settings → Profile Details

Even More Updates
We’ve also rolled out several improvements based on community feedback:

  • “Checkout Max” option to withdraw your full available balance in one click (Feedback from Vazkii)
  • Auto-follow your own project after upload  (Feedback from Mrbysco)
  • “Recent Games” section when creating a project, to speed things up (Community feedback)
  • Mod Orphanage channel in the Authors Discord for passing on projects you can’t maintain (Staff contribution)
