How Brands Are Powering Modding
Have you ever wondered how the projects you build can reach beyond just a download page? Over the past year, Overwolf’s Brand Partnerships team has been making significant moves, meeting with companies like Paramount, LEGO, Netflix, Red Bull, and Amazon to show how supporting creators directly is the future of gaming.
From launching contests like the Goblet of Mods to working with global advertisers through platforms like The Trade Desk, these efforts have already helped direct over $650,000 in campaign funding to mod creators, on top of the $240 million paid out to in-game creators across the Overwolf ecosystem.
As a result, more brands are interested in gaming communities, not just as players but as partners. We’re here to ensure that this translates into real-world support for the people behind the mods.
This is just the beginning. Thank you for building the content that makes it all possible!

Author Workshops: 5 Sessions & Growing
Since launching in December, our Author Workshops have become a key part of our mission to grow together as creators. These live sessions hosted by experienced authors allow others to learn, ask questions, and explore new ways to bring their ideas to life.
So far, we’ve hosted four excellent sessions, with a fifth coming up later this month:
- Workshop 1: Designing & Implementing Content (with Supplementaries Team)
- Workshop 2: Creating a Modpack (with CraisinLord)
- Workshop 3: Designing Your Modpack (with Vazkii)
- Workshop 4: Intro to Sims Gameplay Modding (with KiaraSims4Mods)
- Upcoming: Growing Your Projects via YouTube (by Nekomaster) - Live on May 18th in the Authors Discord
A massive thank-you to all the authors who have shared their time, knowledge, and experience. If you’re interested in hosting a future workshop or have a topic you’d love to learn about, contact the community team.
