Draconic Evolution Mod - Frequently Asked Questions

What Does Draconic Evolution Add?

Draconic Evolution is a high-end tech mod that adds powerful tools, armor, energy systems, and late-game progression content to Minecraft. Its main focus is on energy manipulation and combat enhancements, including advanced power storage (Energy Core), teleportation devices, overpowered player gear, mob spawners, and boss fights. The mod also introduces unique crafting mechanics, such as Fusion Crafting, and items like the Dragon Heart, Chaos Shards, and awakened materials. It’s often considered an “endgame” mod because of its steep resource requirements and massive power scaling.

How Do You Craft Draconic Evolution Items?

Draconic Evolution doesn’t use standard crafting tables for most of its recipes. Instead, it introduces Fusion Crafting, a system where items are placed in Fusion Crafting Injectors around a central Fusion Core. Recipes require RF power to process and often include rare materials like Draconium Ingots, Nether Stars, and Dragon Hearts. You'll start with Basic-level crafting and eventually unlock Wyvern, Draconic, and Chaotic tiers by upgrading the injectors and obtaining late-game materials.

What Is Draconic Armor?

Draconic Armor is one of the most powerful armor sets in Minecraft modding. It starts with Wyvern Armor and upgrades into Draconic Armor through the Fusion Crafting process, then Chaotic after that. Each piece has an upgrade grid that can be filled with powerful upgrades like damage shield, speed boost, night vision, and flight. The upgrades grid is accessible through pressing Shift + C by default, when wearing the armor.

Can Draconic Armor Fly?

Yes, Draconic Armor allows you to fly with full Creative Mode style flight, or with gliding flight like you get with Elytra. Once you equip the Draconic Chestplate, you’ll need to install a Flight Module in the module configuration menu (Shift + C by default). Note that only Draconic and Chaotic flight modules grant Creative Mode style flight, Wyvern only provides Elytra style gliding. Creative Flight consumes energy from the Chestplate, and the boost function for Elytra flight (usable by holding the sprint key whilst gliding to activate) also requires energy.

How Do You Get Draconium in Draconic Evolution?

To get Draconium, you need to mine Draconium Ore, which can be found in the Overworld, Nether, and especially the End. It’s most commonly found on End islands and Chaos Islands in The End, but you may also find small veins near the bottom of the world in the Overworld and larger veins in the bottom of The Nether. When mined, Draconium Ore drops Draconium Dust, which you can smelt into Draconium Ingots with a 1:1 ratio. Using a Fortune-enchanted pickaxe will increase how much dust you get per ore block. If you’re using other mods alongside Draconic Evolution, you can also obtain Draconium through ore processing machines or crop-based mods like Mystical Agriculture.
