World of Warcraft: Midnight

Midnight: Patch 12.0.1 - March 2nd

World of Warcraft: Midnight

Midnight Story

Blizzard’s next chapter in the Worldsoul Saga is World of Warcraft: Midnight, the direct sequel to The War Within. Midnight is shaping up to be one of the most thematically intense expansions in WoW’s history, bringing players back to the home of the Blood Elves; Qual’Thalas. During this expansion, Silvermoon will be the new main hub for both Alliance and Horde. As officially a Horde city, there will of course be parts of the city where soldiers or heroes from The Alliance are not welcome.

Midnight Zones

Formerly known as Eversong Woods and Ghostlands, these two iconic zones are merged into just one, also called Eversong Woods, which serves as the first zone of the new Midnigt Expansion. Home of the Windrunner Spire, which is a lore heavy area, as well as a new dungeon, but also memorable locations like Tranquillen or the Amani Pass towards Zul’Aman.

The second zone, Zul’Aman, was formerly a Raid Instance. With several temples to the Loa gods of the Amani trolls, this zone heavily feels like the old raid, but better. Temples to Akil’Zon, Halazzi and Jan’Alai can be found scattered around the main Zul’Aman courtyard.

The third zone is Harandar. A completely new zone with very few lore or references in the game so far. This Bioluminescent zone where The Rift of Aln is located, is the home of the new allied race, Harandir. Harandar is also the home of one of the two first raids of Midnight: The Dreamrift.

The last zone is Voidstorm. Think Eye of the Storm battleground, but less Arcane, and more Void. This distant and mysterious void world will be Midnight’s max level zone and one of the two first raids of the expansion resides here; Voidspire.

New Allied Race for Alliance and Horde

During your travels and leveling in Midnight, you will get in contact with the newest allied race, the Haranir. Just like the Pandaren and Dracthyr, Haranir choose to align with either The Alliance or The Horde. To unlock Haranir as an allied race, you want to start by finishing the Haranir questline in Harandar.

The Haranir can be Druid, Hunter, Mage, Monk Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock and Warrior. Hunters start with a unique pet and the cuteness of Aquatic and Travel form for Druid are certainly something to look forward too!

The Haranir Racials vary from teleportation to a damage and healing ability to increase in experience and herbalism.

New Prey Feature

Prey is a new feature where you are sent out to hunt powerful creatures and foes. The rewards for this are mostly cosmetic, with some minor currency rewards that come from a heap of other forms of content as well. Participating in the Prey feature also counts towards your Great Vault, for the bottom ‘World’ row, along with Delves.
