If you’re looking for some awesome creature mods to add to your ARK to make your adventures even more epic, then you need to check out these 5 amazing creatures!

Aussie Additions: Minmi (Free)
Tame yourself the most adorable starter tame ever with the Aussie Additions Minmi by NickBS. You’ll find Minmi roaming the starter beaches. They are really easy to find and super easy to tame. Just feed one some soap, and you’ll have your very own bundle of joy ready to explore the ARK.
Minmi isn’t just a cute little face, though. It has a solid movement speed to get you around, and can do special combo attacks for its standard bite and tail swipe. Its armored back lets it tank incoming hits, and you can utilize its defensive stance to withstand attacks, perfect for distracting a creature while a friend knocks it out.
Minmi's real party trick is its happy dance. Trigger this, and all of your surrounding tames will get a temporary XP boost, helping your whole tribe level up quicker. Minmi may be an early game mount, but you’re going to want to keep this cute little critter around for your whole playthrough.

Paleo ARK - Evolution Hard Hitting Herbivores (Free)
For the ultimate creature upgrade, you’ll want to install UpFromTheDepth’s Paleo ARK Evolution Hard-Hitting Herbivores. This mod introduces the EVO Therizinosaurus, a full TLC overhaul of the vanilla version with a stunning new look and an amazing suit of combat moves.
You tame the EVO Theri exactly like the vanilla version, but your new mount has some awesome attack upgrades you can make use of. The claw swipe will alternate between the left and right claws, and if you claw swipe twice and then hit the jump button, you will activate a double claw swipe for extra damage. Looking behind you whilst using the primary attack will trigger a 180-degree turn double claw swipe, and there’s also a “sharpen claws” buff you can activate to do increased armor penetration. In addition to all of this, the EVO Theri can also sit down; it’s just cosmetic, but it looks pretty cool.
The EVO Theri is the ultimate upgrade to one of ARK’s most popular battle mounts and a creature mod you should definitely check out.

Hatzegopteryx Kukulkan (Freemium)
The skies of ARK are very underutilized when it comes to tames, but Hatzegopteryx kukulkan by Tweeezs is here to change that. Standing taller than a giga, the Hatzegopteryx is a genuine aerial apex predator that commands the skies like nothing else. Fiercely territorial, they will attack anything that gets too close, and Hatzegopteryx is not going to submit to your tranq arrows or food offerings. First, you’ll need to defeat one in battle for them to offer you the chance to undertake the real test. Complete the challenge it sets for you, and you will earn its respect; fail, and you’ll regret not having a parachute in your hotbar.
Once tamed, its utility is immense, and they have different purposes depending on which saddle you choose to equip. The basic saddle lets you use all of the core attacks as well as the grab ability, and this behemoth can pick up rexes, wyverns, and quetzals without batting an eye. Swap to the Tek-powered Air Superiority Saddle, and you’ll gain incredible speed, ideal for combat. If you want to dominate the ARK from the skies, then the Hapzegopteryx is the perfect mount for you.

Moro’s Hydrovanta (Freemium)
MoroNada’s Hydrovant is a gorgeous, glowing alien stingray built to be your ultimate ocean mount. From healing and support to resource gathering and offense, this creature can handle anything the ARK’s oceans throw at you.
The custom swimming physics are unlike any other ARK creature, with smooth gliding, swimming, jumping, and darting movements that make it a completely immersive tame to ride.
You’ll find them swimming around areas with deep water, and they’re not uncommon to see near the surface. Taming one is a unique process: bring along some of your injured creatures, feed the Hydrovanta biotoxin or angler gel to get their attention, and then let it do what it does best and heal your tames. The more your creatures recover, the more your Hydrovanta will tame.
Once tamed, the Hydrovanta has a diverse arsenal of features and abilities for you to use. It can locate rare ocean resources and then harvest them, heal allies mid-combat, and inflict devastating status effects like poison, tranquilize, and armor shred to anything that dares to challenge you. There is so much more to discover about the Hydrovanta as you use it, so make sure to add at least one to your ARK army.

ARKOLOGY: OE - Hapipalus (Free)
Hapipalus is the stunning fantasy-inspired Spinosaurus created by DragonHeart, and you will find them spawning in rivers alongside their unmutated cousins. An apex predator, the Hapipalus is an upgraded spino in terms of size, strength, and stats. They can breathe underwater and have scalding fire breath that tears through enemies. There are also bite, claw, and tail swipe attacks, too - but none of them are quite as exciting as those vibrant blue flames. Make sure you stay in contact with water while in combat so you can activate the hyper-hydrated buff to make your mount even stronger.
Naturally, with all of those amazing features and a fearsome nature, the Hapipalus is a passive tame. You will need to stun it with an electric prod while its hydration buff is active, then passively feed exceptional kibble to claim your own.
The Hapipalus is a great multi-terrain mount that travels between water and land with ease, perfect for exploring everything from the Island's waterways to the subterranean chambers of Aberration.
