Hello CurseForgers! We're back with another update packed with fresh improvements and important bug fixes. Let's dive in!
Don't yet use the app? What are you waiting for!? GET THE CURSEFORGE APP HERE!
Improved
- Minecraft - You can now set Java environment variables, as a default in "Minecraft Settings" or per profile in "Profile Options", for example to run Minecraft on your dedicated GPU.
- World of Warcraft - CurseForge now detects WoW Forever installs, and Forever beta installs are now labeled "Forever Beta" so they're easy to tell apart.
- You can now see how many times a project has been favorited, right next to the favorite star on its page.
- CurseForge now pauses animations when it's not in focus, saving precious CPU, and uses less of it overall when idle.
- Improved the default window size on smaller displays so the app fits on screen when it opens.
Bug Fixes
- Minecraft - Fixed an issue where modpack installs could fail on Apple Silicon Macs without Rosetta because the wrong version of Java was downloaded.
- Minecraft - Fixed an issue where the Skins page kept reloading your Minecraft profile in the background, using extra CPU and sometimes causing rate-limit errors.
- Minecraft - Fixed an issue where the skin preview could show a different skin or cape than the one you selected.
- Minecraft - Fixed an issue where the skin preview switched from Elytra back to a cape after a graphics reset, for example after waking from sleep.
- Minecraft - Fixed an issue where the skin preview could lose its angle, or stay frozen, after a certain hidden surprise on the Skins page.
- Minecraft - Fixed an issue where "Cancel" did nothing while a "My Servers" join was still installing its modpack.
- Fixed an issue where the app could reopen at the wrong size, or restored instead of maximized, especially on multi-monitor setups.
- Fixed an issue where items in a modpack's Content list showed the modpack's favorite star, and clicking it favorited the modpack instead.
- Fixed an issue where clicking a mod author's name in a locked modpack's content list did nothing.
