Ever since Stardew Valley’s release in early 2016, the game has received many updates, adding more depth and fun to the seemingly endless farming simulator. Now, with the upcoming update, the focus is on improving social interactions, and new content is planned as well!

New Marriage Candidates

ConcernedApe has already stated that there will be 2 new datable characters. On Stardew Valley’s 10th anniversary, he revealed their identities: Clint and Sandy can be dated and married. Their extended story is yet unknown. Perhaps Clint will no longer be shy once you get closer to him.

Children Overhaul

Raising a child in Stardew Valley is definitely a very cute aspect of the game. Waking up, giving your spouse a kiss, and holding your baby in your hands gives a warm feeling. However, children currently serve no functional purpose beyond aesthetics. The community has requested a change. ConcernedApe realized that and decided to make that wish come true! However, he has not yet announced what will change specifically.

New Farm Type

It is a tradition to add a new farm type with every major update. Since the 1.1 update, which introduced four different types, Barone kept adding at least one more with every update. He also came up with the idea of adding a browser to view community farm creations. That would be a really cool feature!

Additionally, he claimed that there will be features intended to enhance gameplay. There is no release date yet.
