With more and more news being announced for Hytale, such as the Chapter 1 update, it is a nice time to take a look at some mods that enhance the adventurer's experience. Most of these mods won't cause some drastic change in your gameplay, but simply make annoying things more convenient or introduce some "missing" features.
These Hytale mods can be easily installed with the CurseForge app! See the full guide on the "How to Install Mods for Hytale - A Beginner’s Guide" post.
Note: This list of mods will be skewed towards the singleplayer experience (won’t intentionally target/test multiplayer QoL mods), but most are definitely applicable to multiplayer as well.

Water Well
Although infinite water sources aren’t very realistic, they make building, farming, or any project that requires a good amount of water much more annoying than it should be. This plugin adds a water well that does exactly this. Not only does it fulfill its purpose flawlessly, but it also looks aesthetically pleasing and can serve as functional decoration!

Info Hud
A very simple yet useful mod that displays general information on your screen as a HUD. It shows your coordinates, the block name/entity name and health you are looking at, and the region and biome you are in. It’s a nice addition to have for players just starting out on Hytale and can be helpful for veterans, too. It currently offers a limited amount of customizability (colors and positioning), but with more options (hopefully) in the future, the mod will become a truly great QoL mod suitable for all players.

Recycle Materials
Hytale already has many salvageable items, but the coverage is quite limited and is missing a significant amount of blocks. This mod adds a ton of crafting recipes, allowing you to revert whatever block back to its source. For example, slabs, pillars, beams, etc. can all be reverted back to what they were crafted with. You can also adjust the groups that can be salvaged and turn stuff on and off based on your values.

New Life
When you first create a world in Hytale, it drops you in the initial zone, which makes lots of sense given Hytale’s native progression system. This mod tweaks how that works with a spawn system that lets you start from anywhere. This can be used for a dedicated start that differs from simply starting at the initial spawn, and can add some variation to an adventure's progression. You can start from an island, later zones, or even a dungeon. It can also serve as an RTP system if you wish to use it that way.

Grab From Far
Hytale caps the distance a workbench can reach when searching for crafting materials. Grab From Far allows one to increase/adjust the ceiling however they’d like. You can choose the horizontal and vertical radii separately, as well as the scan limit for containers. The base reach is simply quite annoying to work with, and having this mod from the get-go makes it a gripe you won’t ever have to think about.

Automatic Storage
Having clean, organized storage is amazing, and initial sorting might be fine. But if you’re anything like me, after the initial cleanup, I stop bothering to sort things properly only to do a mass reorganization a few weeks later. Automatic storage completely resolves this issue by doing the maintenance for me. All I have to do is toss whatever trash I have into it, and it will automatically store it in the proper location. Even if you already maintain the tidiness of your storage system, an automated sorter never hurts and can only improve your experience by offloading the task to the mod.

Hyper Pickup (Items Magnet)
Hyper Pickup increases the pickup range and speed of your Hytale character. You can easily toggle the magnet on and off and adjust its range and speed. The especially neat part of this mod is the ability to ignore particular items. If there are items you don’t want to pick up, you can add them to your ignore filter, and your character will no longer suck these items into your inventory. Say I don’t want all the stone from a mining trip and only the other stuff, I can temporarily filter all those out and come back with just what I want.

Vein Mining
Vein Mining makes mining runs go by much more quickly by introducing various excavation patterns. It allows you to mine connected ores and blocks simply by breaking one. It also allows you to choose some particular pattern to mine by, such as a straight tunnel of various sizes, a diagonal, or a wall. While it is simply more powerful than vanilla mining, it makes the process much more satisfying and remains bound by vanilla mining rules, such as durability and tool rarity.

Wan's Storage Drawers
Another form of storage for single-item storage is offered by this Storage Drawers mod. Each drawer holds a single item, but it can hold an infinite number of them depending on what the server owner wishes. Unlike in a chest, withdrawing and depositing items is incredibly easy with straightforward interactions, such as left-clicking to withdraw and interacting to deposit. It also has a menu that lets you lock items and allows only one specific item to be deposited. It greatly simplifies organization and can look nice as it displays the item like an item frame does in Minecraft.

Multitools
Multitools introduces a new type of tool that combines the abilities of existing tools. Rather than switching between pickaxes and hatchets, a multitool lets you mine stone and wood with a single tool. It’s a simple addition, but it’s a nice tool that makes exploring or building feel more convenient.
All these mods go well together to create a nice adventuring experience as they are generally barely invasive to the standard Hytale gameplay loop. They make the game feel a lot smoother to play, and I stand by the fact that some of them are must-haves, and it feels wrong without them.
