Dive Into Subnautica 2 Modding
Subnautica 2 officially launched into Early Access on May 14, and modding support is already live on CurseForge!
Players can now browse, install, and manage Subnautica 2 mods directly through the CurseForge App, making it easy to jump into the growing modding scene from day one. Mods are already rolling in, and we’re continuing to expand support as the game evolves through Early Access.
If you're diving in:
- Mods are fully supported on both the CurseForge website and app
- Dedicated Subnautica 2 community channels are now live in our Discord
- Authors can join our dedicated community and begin publishing immediately
And yes, there’s already a modding contest underway for creators looking to make their mark!

New in App: Minecraft Skins
Minecraft skins are now live on the CurseForge App!
A brand-new Skins tab is out, giving players a central place to manage, preview, and customize their in-game appearance directly inside the app.
Here’s what’s included:
- Upload your own custom skins
- Browse CurseForge and default Minecraft skins
- Preview skins in a live 3D viewer
- Support for Capes & Elytra previews
To celebrate the launch, we’ve also kicked off a community skin contest!
Three winning skins will become featured default skins inside the CurseForge App, and earn some deserved bragging rights and swag along the way.
The contest is already live in our Discord community, and submissions close on May 28.

Modding Contest Mania
May has been packed with contests across multiple games, with creators submitting projects, communities voting, and major prize pools on the line. Here’s a quick look at what wrapped up, what’s still running, and where authors can still jump in.
Hytale - New Worlds Contest
The Hytale New Worlds contest officially wrapped this month, closing one of the biggest modding events we’ve ever hosted.
With a $100,000 prize pool, support from Hypixel Studio, community voting, and a packed judge panel, this contest became a huge showcase of what Hytale modding can already do. Thank you to every author who submitted, every player who voted, and everyone who helped judge and support the event. See the results here.
inZOI - Next Top Modder Season 2
Season 2 of Next Top Modder is now live, with new creation categories and more ways to win.
This season includes a $10,000 prize pool, 25 total winners, community favorites, and mid-contest rewards already being handed out. If you’re creating for inZOI, there’s still time to publish, submit, and take part. Join the contest now!
Windrose - Launch Contest
The first Windrose modding contest has reached its conclusion, with ten winners selected by our judges and ranked through community voting.
Finalists included projects like Ship Equipment Overhaul, Better Storage UI, Skeleton Pirate, Player Respawn on Ship, and One Click Sell Goods, showing a great mix of gameplay improvements, cosmetics, and quality-of-life ideas. Huge thanks to everyone who submitted and voted during Windrose’s first contest on CurseForge. See the results in our Discord.
