ARK Gets Unreal with 5.5

ARK: Survival Ascended just took a giant leap forward. With the rollout of Unreal Engine 5.5, ARK modding on CurseForge now supports next-gen tools and visuals. Here’s what you need to know:

  • Mods built for 5.5 will now appear in-game.
  • Mods still on older versions won’t show up unless updated.
  • Expect smoother gameplay and more detailed creations as the modding community makes the shift.

Also just launched: Lost Colony, a brand-new ARK DLC featuring a mysterious island, ancient ruins, and a new narrative arc. Survive solo or mod with friends - there’s never been a better time to return to ARK!

Check out Lost Colony.

Minecraft Data Pack Support

The CurseForge client now supports Minecraft Data Packs! Starting with version 1.278, you can install data packs directly through the app.

When creating profiles for Minecraft 1.21.1, you’ll be prompted to select a compatible loader mod. For other versions, the app will guide you through manual setup (Future updates will add more version support).

Big thanks to the Minecraft community for your feedback and for helping us prioritize this long-requested feature. Special thanks to YUNGNICKYOUNGDarkhaxDevJTK222, and Declipsonator, whose Data Pack loaders are integrated within this solution!
