What is ProjectE?
ProjectE is a massive magic and alchemy mod that serves as a complete rewrite of the classic Equivalent Exchange 2 (EE2). It centers on the concept of "Equivalent Exchange" – the ability to break down almost any item into a numerical energy value and then transmute that energy back into a completely different item of equal value.
What does ProjectE add?
The mod adds a suite of powerful alchemical tools and machines:
- The Transmutation Table: Your personal library where you "teach" the mod items and swap them using stored EMC.
- Energy collectors and condensers: Machines that generate EMC from light or automatically turn non-valuable items into rare resources like diamonds.
- Klein stars: Portable "EMC batteries" used to fuel powerful artifacts.
- Alchemical gear: dark matter and red matter tools, weapons, and armor that offer nearly infinite durability and god-like abilities (flight, 3x3 mining, and invincibility).
- Magical trinkets: Rings and amulets that provide powers like fire immunity, time manipulation, and automated harvesting.
What is a power EMC?
Power EMC typically refers to one of two things in the mod's ecosystem:
- EMC (Energy-Matter Covalence): This is the mod's core "currency" or energy source. Every item has an EMC value (e.g., cobblestone is 1, a diamond is 8,192). This energy is used to "buy" items from a Transmutation Table.
- Power Items and flowers: Artifacts like the Philosopher's Stone or rings have power levels (charged with the "V" key) that consume EMC to perform powerful tasks. Additionally, you can also build power flowers – massive setups of energy collectors and relays designed to generate millions of EMC passively from light alone.
Is the ProjectE mod overpowered?
Frankly – yes! ProjectE is widely considered one of the most "overpowered" mods in Minecraft history since once you set up a basic power flower or an automated EMC farm, you essentially have infinite resources and turn Survival Mode into Creative Mode with extra steps.
