Minecraft’s world generation system allows for a nearly infinite number of different maps to explore. But that doesn’t mean it has to be completely random. The entire algorithm uses one single number to determine how everything will come to form. That number is known as the world seed, or just “seed.”
By giving Minecraft Bedrock a specific seed, we can choose what world we get. Thankfully, a number of stunning, rare world seeds have made their way around the community over the years. We’ve sought out the coolest ones and collected them here.
And if they still don’t have you dazzled, we’ve also shared a few world generation addons that are sure to impress.
How to Use World Seeds
When you go to create a new world, go to the "Advanced" options tab. The first option will be a box to input your custom world seed – that’s where you need to copy and paste the seed you want to try next.
The Village Amidst the Cherry Grove Cliffs

- World Seed: 10922448110033906
Starting you out right outside the bounds of a village is already great for a world seed. This seed, however, brings it to a more dramatic and visually stunning level by surrounding the entire village in steep cliffs. A cherry blossom biome accents the top of the cliffs, giving the entire area the feeling of an idyllic haven safe from the world.
Traversing in and out of town will be challenging, at least until you build a tunnel through the mountain. But as far as home bases go, you likely won’t find anything much more impressive than this.
Village and Pillage

- World Seed: -4841024498097456415
Another village world seed, this map starts you out in a sizable village, with two blacksmiths right across from each other. This will make getting early to mid game gear extra easy while jumpstarting your trading empire.
What sets it apart, however, is the presence of a pillager tower just off in the distance. It’s both thematically on point and a great way to farm for emeralds, enchanted books, and iron gear, so make sure to pay it a visit once you feel you’re ready.
Mushroom Island

- World Seed: 7749012223532925400
While Minecraft has introduced numerous new biomes over the years, none will ever be as rare and special as a mushroom island. These bizarre biomes are home to only three things: giant mushrooms, mycelium blocks, and mooshrooms. What makes it so special is that the last two can only be found here. It also has the unique property of being the only biome where dangerous mobs like zombies and creepers never spawn!
You won’t appear there immediately, though. Visiting the biome requires a short hike across the frozen ocean opposite the shore. But once you’re there, you’ll be at one of the largest mooshroom islands you’ve ever seen!
Frozen Village Spire

- World Seed: 7226627000711902118
Watch your step! You spawn on a small grassy platform, but a quick look around will reveal that not only are you high in the air on the side of a massive stone mountain spire, you’re also inside a village. The rest of the village can be found all along the tower’s length, all the way to the bottom.
Navigating this one will be a challenge, but it will make for one of the most unique villages possible, especially if you take some time to fix it up and protect it from monsters.
The Village at the Center of a Sunken Lake

- World Seed: -2944462799545261810
This world seed is similar to the first one, but the center of that cherry blossom chasm is a large, deep lake. Even so, that doesn’t stop a village from spawning inside it. The result is a settlement that you’d only see in a fantasy book.
The water makes it less inhabitable as a home base, but it also opens the way for a lot more to explore as you delve into the waters’ depth. If you want maximum whimsy in your world, this is a great choice.
Pirate’s Paradise

- World Seed: 694269426942719923
Not every world needs a specific structure or gimmick to be interesting, and this is a perfect example of that. You start near a bamboo jungle biome that has ocean and river biomes running all throughout it. Much of the jungle’s terrain is elevated, creating these beautiful caverns and passageways under the jungle.
One particular spot nearby has not only a sunken ship to explore, but it's also home to a group of sea turtles, really bringing the tropical pirate vibes to the max. Overall, we find it’s a super stylish environment to call home.
Island Cliffside Jungle Temple

- World Seed: 5103174351777246372
A far less cozy and accessible setting than some of the other candidates on our list, this seed places you near a towering jungle island that stretches high in the sky. On one side is a lava flow, on the other is an entire jungle temple hanging on the underside of a large cave halfway up the cliff.
It's super dramatic and will be a great challenge for anyone trying to tame the wilds of Minecraft. If you succeed, you’ll have the coolest place to call home and an amazing ocean view. You’ll also probably be one giant laser weapon away from having the ultimate evil villain hideout.
Massive Mountain Cavern

- World Seed: 8486672581758651406
The wonder of this world seed isn’t from what you see at spawn – it’s what lies below. You start near a giant mountainscape. As you survey the area, you’ll discover a hole in one side, revealing a massive, deep cave system.
If you love to explore caves and mine their valuable resources, this seed will provide you with almost endless entertainment. The expansive cave only stretches further and further, exploring multiple underground biomes and spanning far and wide. Before you know it, you’ll be down to deepslate level, grasping your way forward in total darkness.
The Tallest Mansion

- World Seed: 1754483367952288026
Strange things happen when structures spawn near a ledge. In this taiga biome, a woodland mansion spawns right at the top of a tall, narrow cliff structure, causing a massive stone pillar to form below it. It strikes a powerful and intimidating contrast to the rest of the environment, with curving caves and a natural waterfall accenting the way down.
To find it yourself, just look down. You spawn directly on the roof of the woodland mansion. While it’s tempting to immediately break in and loot everything you can, keep in mind how powerful the illagers inside can be to an unarmored player. But if you can manage to best the inhabitants, you’ll have the grandest home standing taller than anything and everything.
Cherry Blossom Spikes Leading to the Ancient City

- World Seed: 565535403532980236
Another cave diver’s dream come true, this world seed places you near a lovely cherry blossom biome. With a little exploration, you’ll discover a large empty zone, where the large pit is filled with nothing but stone spikes and tunnels leading deeper.
If you can brave those caves long enough, you’ll descend deeper and deeper underground, all the way to the elusive ancient city that sits dormant right below you. Spawning near an ancient city is already a rarity, but having such a cool path down makes it the cherry on top – pun very much intended!
Minecraft Addons That Enhance Word Generation
Half the fun of having a custom world seed is being able to experience unique settings and structures for yourself. You can expand that sense of discovery even further with the right addons! These packs are especially great for world exploration, thanks to their unique mechanics and one-of-a-kind structures.
Rise and Survive – Progressive Zombie Apocalypse
A zombie survival addon, “Rise and Survive” expands on the zombies mob, creating new variants and making them increasingly stronger as the nights go on. And that’s not even to mention the blood moon event.
To best fit the apocalyptic theme, the addon also includes a bunch of hand-crafted structures, like abandoned storage buildings and farm houses. Now all the risks you take travelling solo will be rewarded with more places to find and all the loot contained inside.
Nightmare Overload MCPEDL
A horror meme pack at its core, the “Nightmare Overload” addon introduces several known internet horror story characters into Minecraft. That includes stories like “Don’t Cry”, “The Goat Man”, “The Bloop”, and even “Herobrine”.
It doesn’t stop at mobs, though. The addon also adds a bunch of ruins and abandoned buildings to the world generation system, all playing into the spooky style of the pack. Go and find them for yourself – just be sure to keep a close eye on your surroundings as you do so.
BACKROOMS THE FORGOTTEN COMPLEX
What’s better than the occasional new structure to explore? How about an entire new dimension? The “Backrooms, The Forgotten Complex” addon is a faithful recreation of the popular analog horror story of the same name. Clip into the Backrooms, survive on almond water, and try to avoid the monsters lurking around the corners of this endless liminal space.
Very true to the lore, the pack has multiple levels of the Backrooms programmed in, each one with mechanics and dangers accurate to the original sources. That includes getting there in the first place. Getting into the Backrooms on purpose is almost impossible as you have to accidentally stumble into the mysterious realm. Getting out is even harder, so we wish you the best of luck with this one!
How to Install Minecraft Addons
You can install Bedrock addons automatically from the official Minecraft Marketplace or manually by downloading them from a trusted source like the CurseForge website. For each of the addons above, open the linked project page and download its associated “.mcaddon” file. Opening the downloaded file should launch Minecraft and begin the import.
After the import finishes, edit the world and check both "Behavior Packs" → "Available" and "Resource Packs" → "Available". If all went well, activating the packs included with the addon should add its features to that world. If the project lists an experiment under "Requirements", you should enable it as well before loading the world.

Common Issues and Quick Fixes
My world didn’t generate as described
There can be many reasons why this happens. First off, check that you put in the right world seed number, without any spaces.
Next, check your version number. These seeds were all confirmed for Minecraft Bedrock version 26.40 on PC. Older or newer versions might offer a different experience than the one described above.
Finally, check whether you enabled experimental effects or any addons as both of these settings can change world generation in unpredictable ways.
