Updates for Authors

April brought several strong quality-of-life updates for authors across the platform. Check out these highlights:

 Unlisted Projects
A long-requested feature, you can now create Unlisted Projects!

These projects won’t appear in search, but anyone with a direct link can still access them. It’s a much cleaner way to test projects, share private work, or keep something available without fully publishing it.

This now replaces the older Experimental Projects flow (current projects marked Experimental remain unchanged).

Project Dependents Are Back
Dependents are now fully available on the website again - with upgrades!

You can now:

  • View exactly which files are being used as dependencies
  • Search and sort dependents
  • Adjust pagination
  • Track project relationships more clearly

This feature has been a frequent request for a long time, and we’re glad to bring it back the right way.

ARK UI & Discovery Update
ARK authors also received a major discovery and performance update this month!

Mod pages and the Discovery tab now load faster, the mod browser opens more smoothly from inside the game, and feature capabilities have been improved, laying the groundwork for a future personalized discovery system.

This is a strong step forward for visibility and player discovery.
